He really sounds like a mulit-level winner. Someone we would love to have on our roster not just because he is a top-rated player and a play-maker, but he sounds like a really sharp guy; the type of guy you want your kids modeling themselves after. It'll be interesting to see how his recruiting goes at other schools and I think he should do a paper or something on his experiences. Would be interesting to see what he has to say and how he analyzes the different visits and offers.

If he chooses us, I guess we will have to over sign to get him. Seems he wants to play the hat trick game on signing day.

To each his own. I like how some recruits go ahead and commit quietly but I also don't blame kids that want the production - after all, how many times in our life will any of us have the opportunity in front of the camera (for a good reason!)?

I've got a feeling that with our limited scholorships and having already gotten Wayne's commit that Tyshon Dye will pull the trigger and not wait till fall...afraid that Derrick might commit ahead of him...either way, they both won't come.

He looks like a strong kid with some speed, but nothing overwhelming to be #1 RB.
But others know this stuff more than I do, so I'll shut up now.

I think his size and speed may be creating a lot of buzz for him. IMO, from watching his and then Dye's video, it looks like Dye is the better RB.

anybody can tote the rock for decent carries, but it is the one that takes the pounding, and protects the football that we need to go after. Just my opinion!

Reminds me of Merriwether in that he seems to like lowering his head and hitting someone at the end of the run, and a few of those stop jukes were Spiller-esque. Not a bad combo.

F*ck it, I'm greedy, let's get both of them. Seriously, these two would be a perfect compliment to one another. One guy's a between-the-tackles/North-South type of guy and the other one is more about getting into space and then making people miss.
Not only would both of these guys thrive in The Chad's offense, but they could do it simultaneously.

That video is impressive. Reminds me of Marcus Lattimore.
I like the way he looks to inflict pain upon the opponent. That's a mentality we've been missing in a RB for quite awhile.

Really Coach Elliott is "your" position coach!?!?

Do we take both if they want to come? If one commits will the other pull a gurley and come or will he go elsewhere for less competition?

limited numbers?
AND we have two highly rated RB's already committed for 2014.
I can't see taking 3 this year.

But the question is can we afford to use up so may scholarships on RBs. if we take 3 this year, in 2014 we will have Howard, Brooks, Gallman, Dye, Green, Cook, Oglesby. That is 7 RBs, several of which were highly rated and will want to be starting.

I agree with Dye's video being slightly more impressive than Green's but perhaps the competition is a little stiffer in Green's area. Just look at the DB that chased him down in the first vid...pretty quick for a RB that can run a 4.37

is the type of back that is going to pound and pound and pound until the defense wears out and then bust open the big one. I will be glad to have either one. It will also be easier to tell which is better when they get in some of these all star type events where they are playing against relatively the same competition

We have had enough shifty stile agility backs lately.
Jun 22, 2012, 3:34 PM

I miss the ground and pound big backs like Merriwether and Chad Jasmin. I hate it for Buice, but I think Green will be a better style back. Especially with the others that we have coming in that have more agility. Pistol formations have some duel back setups!

Would "experts" give us any credit by signing two #1's??
Jun 22, 2012, 6:37 PM

I sure many schools have signed multiple number ones, but at such important positions is impressive. I know people tend to think in terms of QB mostly, but DE & RB work just fine for me.
