When I read that my first thought was, I assume the strike zone was the same for both teams. Am I right?

I'm not sure that you are. In both games yesterday, it seemed that the opposing pitchers threw a lot of strikes that appeared to be caught in the other batters's box as well as some fastball strikes below the knees, while it seemed to me that a lot of our pitches at the knees were called balls, especially when we had 2 strikes on the batters.

I was at all games played for the entire regional, there were calls missed all for everyone. Each team benefited from calls and was at the wrong end of some calls.

Being involved with baseball for many years the one thing I do not understand is why most batters today think their eye is better than the ump. It really doesn't matter if yours is, the man in blue is the opinion that counts.

With that said, when you have a X - 2 count it's time to enlarge "your" strike zone... protect the plate!
