Big 12 rumors, BOOM:

." Florida State is first and foremost a UNIVERSITY, not a football team. The individuals who ultimately would make a decision of this gravity - the university president and board of trustees - are highly educated people, many FSU graduates, who understand athletics is a piece (an important piece, but not the whole purpose) of an overall university mission. In the 2012 U.S. News and World Report rankings of American colleges and universities the ACC stood head and shoulders above all other BCS conferences with an average ranking of 43.25. That ranking stands almost 30 places higher than the next highest for any conference and a country mile ahead of the Big 12 whose average placement was 100.3. In language as simple as I can make it, NO UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT OR BOARD OF TRUSTEES WILL EVER LEAVE AN ASSOCIATION WITH SCHOOLS LIKE DUKE, UNC, WAKE FOREST, MIAMI, GEORGIA TECH, BOSTON COLLEGE AND VIRGINIA IN FAVOR OF ONE WITH TEXAS TECH, OKLAHOMA STATE, WEST VIRGINIA AND KANSAS STATE.

on the mange board, but you see, I don't really go to away games much, so the only effect it would have on me is to see a few more high quality games in DV each year.
Also, once we are rolling in Big 12 $$$$, I am sure that TDP will reduce the cost of DV concessions.

I didn't say I go there.

But I would definitely go to Austin. How my personal decision factors in with that of the university president, board of trustees, and athletic director, I cannot say. But I'm willing to bet that once my decision goes public, there will be some thinking and rethinking.

I'll take the ACC road trips over the Big 12 or SEC.........

anytime. Sure Austin, Baton Rouge or a few of the others would be great. But then as you said you have the tumbleweeds.
I love going to BC (my fav trip) every other year. The Maryland trip is always great and Miami once in awhile. Atlanta is always fun and the other ACC games are close driving distance. BTW Tallahassee sucks.
Of course I'm just looking at this from a road trip point of view. But from a football point of view I say stay the course also. You think it's tough to win the ACC, well try one of those other conf.

Yours Truly,
University of South Carolina
Seriously though...are the schools of the SEC any better than the schools you just mentioned?

The FSU graduates that I have worked with have not been very impressive. Of course I never saw them sober.
