Just curious - ALL of the QB's can be tackled/hit EXCEPT Boyd, so I wonder how this affects someone like Stoudt who has to take a pounding while Boyd is never touched?

I can see WHY we do this, but it seems to place everyone else at a disadvantage when you're scrambling for your life as opposed to knowing nobody is going to touch you. I sure would be able to make my throws a lot better knowing I can't be touched.

Any thoughts on this?

I agree. I think the tradeoff is basically to prevent injury.

If we could guarantee that Boyd wouldn't blog a knee or something, I'd be all for having him get hit and having to make decisions with that in mind.

But, obviously we can't.

I think it's probably more for the defense than the offense.

In the thick of it I doubt Tajh is thinking about it as much

Also, if Cole is flustered at the possibility of being hit and looking at the rusher rather then trying to make the right play then he's in trouble.

I have no problem with this because we can't afford to have Tajh go down in practice, that would kill us. Besides I doubt seriously that Morris and Dabo would allow Tajh to get away with playing a bit sloppy just becuase he doesn't hae to worry abotu taking those hits. Their probably on him even more so to be perfect becuase of this.

If Tajh is making bad reads and seems pressured even when he's not being hit then he'll fall apart when they do start getting to him. I'm not really concerned abotu this though.

Tajh was a first year starter with no game time experience I would be more concerned; however, we saw what he can do with pressure in his face last year. Certainly he can improve, but Boyd has at least shown he has the ability to evade tacklers. His experience will come with more game time experience. There is no need to risk your field general just to toughen him up.

Then again... if you REALLY wanted him tough there would be a mandatory Fight Club hahaha

maybe there is a Fight Club, and we just don't know it...

Put a pink ribbon on Boyd. and let Cole or Kelly play.

Yeah...let's bench the guy who's set

most of Clemson's single-season passing records for a sophomore and/or a freshman who don't have nearly as much chemistry with the 1's.

Seems legit.
