in the south but my how things have changed in recruiting. I grew up in Washinton state and the way it worked for me was very different. One day mid senior year (1984) my coach calls me in his office and tells me Don James is interested in me and if I keep improving, I can expect an offer after the season. Today, these guys are getting offers 2 to 3 years earlier!

BTW, never got the offer.
