I think he will do fine. He just needs to get a few starts under his belt and build some confidence.

He's got the arm. Let him start the game with a bunch of single read run/pass option plays. Give him flexibility and don't constrain him.
Let's see what the kid can do.

which former Clemson quarterback does Boyd remind you of? I don't know exactly why, but he reminds me of Nealon Greene. Hopefully, he'll be a little more successful. He'll certainly have the athletes to accomplish more.

My choice would be Brendon Streeter. Tall, sort of lanky, and a cannon! Had plenty of intangibles, however has not had a lot of success as of yet. Ready for him to take the field and show what he has been working for.

Boyd isn't like Streeter (Brandon, not Brenden). If anything

he's more like a Tyrod Taylor (from VT the last few years). Both are about the same height, but Tajh is more solidly built and probably stronger. Both guys CAN move well and run if they need to, but prefer to stay around or in the pocket and attack down field or use the underneath guys with their arms. Both have very good true arms.
Oddly enough both Tajh and Tyrod are from Hampton, VA.

He was a better linebacker than a QB. I really liked Sapp and wanted him to succeed as our QB, but he just wasn't cut out for it. I was, however, thrilled to see him succeed on the other side of the line.

And I know he will be the QB we recruited away from some mean #### schools. Go TIGERS, let's do it in 2011 and make up some ground we'd lost.
