there's an ACC network?

Aug 25, 2011, 8:49 PM

Is that the channel that just shows a picture of Tyler Hansbrough 20 hours a day?

Yes. If it was a radio station it would be just like WCCP.***

Swoffie's boy at work for RAYCOM. Interesting to know what kickbacks are involved. Don't think for a moment there aren't any. Swofford runs the ACC like it's his privately held company and somebody needs to do something. These Uni presidents better start acting or they need to go out the door with him.

HD?

Aug 26, 2011, 5:00 AM

Does this mean the games will finally be broadcast in HD?

Nope, you misread it. It is games broadcast BY HD. Must have hired Heather Dinich.

FYI all their games have been broadcast in HD for several years, now YOUR local station may decide to use standard definition and No I am not an employee or associated in any way with Raycom. But I am old enough to remember when it was a very rare treat to find a CU fb on ANY TV whatsoever and I remember having to ride around 20 miles from my home to be able to listen to a CU basketball game on the radio at night. If every game is not on at night and shown by ESPN or ABC to a national audience then some of our Tigers are gonna #####. I bet not a #### one of you bellyachers have ever worked one full day in a July sun. For me I wish to thank Raycom for showing the games, because if not for them we would have missed out on many of our games over the past years.

Let the bitching begin.

Thank you Raycom? COME ON.

Aug 26, 2011, 10:43 AM

This is a business. they make money by showing ACC programming. We should demand that Racom comply with what is fast becoming the industry standard and "best practices"; that means HD. Also Raycom does not film the games in HD, so no it has not been broadcast in HD. If you have a link otherwise please provide.

As for your belly aching comments: Shouldn't we the consumer demand better service? The SEC, BIG TEN, and many others do.

P.S. I have worked several days in the July sun, in fact I paid my way through college pouring concrete. Thanks to Clemson University, I am now a Professional Engineer, and don't have to do that anymore, but I bet I can still form and pour tilt-wall panels faster than you can.

Twotta!!!! She was with CN2 in Rock Hill not long ago, WBTV3 in Charlotte scooped her up rather quickly & she vanished from there after just a few months.
