Looking at that video he does not look 6-7

Feb 12, 2011, 10:40 PM

Maybe 6-5

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

well...not trying to be smart, but..

Feb 13, 2011, 1:25 PM

U could say that about 80-90% of the players.

Okay

This kid hopefully is awesome. This is not a slam. Brownell has already proven he can coach kids up.

HOWEVER, I would remove the first highlight film against the 5 little tiny white guys......LMAO

"Remove the video against the short white guys". since that is relevant. just shut up please

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

wonder if thats what people said when fredette was

Feb 13, 2011, 12:18 AM [ in reply to Okay ]

on opposing people's highlight tape. just cuz their white doesnt mean they aren't a good ball player. jimmer fredette is quite white and is by far the most talented college player. nice try though

Personally..

Looks 6-5 or shorter. However....

Feb 12, 2011, 10:50 PM

The kid has some serious hops. Reminds me of a more polished Goggles. He can flat jump out of the gym and appears to have a pretty refined stroke on the jumper.

If BB can coach em up and bring in kids of this caliber we are in for an awesome ride over the next 2-3 years. Then he will be off to Indiana.....

Jaron will be a solid 4-star or higer by this summer. His name does him justice as he is getting better an better. UNC and others were starting to look at him a lot. He might be 6-5 but he also no PF at the next level. A good small forward with improveing skills.

Film analysis:

Feb 13, 2011, 6:19 PM

These are select clips of course. Not a real power guy for the most part. The alley hoop was nice but I saw two or three instances where I thought he would jam and he just laid it in. More finesse and pretty good ball skills, which is what we need. The clips showed mostly outside shooting and slash/drives to the basket, and we need a player like this who can create off the dribble.

The clips did not show any rebounding or boxing out skills or "nose for the ball" skills. Shot has very low release point in front of face so won't be as easy to get off in big league. But nice looking player. If he's coachable and a worker, and I'm sure he is if Brownell offered him, he'll be fine.

Welcome To Clemson Jaron! We Are Glad You Are A Tiger!***
