Hope this materializes! This should be a very good thing. Brad can do his recruiting closing thing and whatever else and admin does and hopefully Caldwell's reputation will start bringing in some big O line recruits and he can develop what we have on the team currently. Great hire if it happens.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Awesome! This may be Dabo's best hire yet.***

And why does no one but Germany call Germany Deutschland?

The Scott's still need to be a part of Clemson football.

Jan 21, 2011, 5:05 PM

Recruiting and such are their strong points.

Yeah, I hope this does'nt upset any of our recruits.

Jan 21, 2011, 6:41 PM

I can only imagine how good this team will be up front cause of this hire. I bet this team wont lose a game cause the O-line wasnt coached properly, I can promise you that much.

Ditto that! Maybe now when we get in the redzone, we can score six, and not miss, oh I mean, rely on the field goal option! HA! Looks like Dabo has re-engineered his coaching staff for the better!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I need some education. How is this a good hire?

Jan 21, 2011, 7:50 PM

Aside from getting CBS into a different role.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Because he's a he!! of an OL coach.***

Man o man. What a great hire this would be for Clemson.
Great offensive line coach for a number of years. Fits the Clemson mold--reminds me of another Frank Howard. Thhis is the best news I've heard in a long time out of Clemson if it becomes true

Wow! Replacing Napier, Powell, & Scott? Dabo must have...

Jan 21, 2011, 9:06 PM

... finally got around to reading what the fans have been posting for the last few years on T-Net and ShakinTheSouthland.com. :)

Why didn't Dabo replace Napier, Powell, & Scott 2 years ago? Why waste TWO WHOLE YEARS? It's not like he hadn't seen their work product in prior years.

Oh well... better late than never. Hope lives!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes, yes.... It's all because of Tnet posts.....

Robbie can coach 'em. It will be a blast to have a former Pageland Tiger back on the Clemson sidelines.

class act

Jan 22, 2011, 6:17 PM

I watched this guy through the Vandy firings and hirings and he was a class act through the whole situation. one of the most humble coaches ive ever seen. He has a true passion for the job and is in the profession for the kids. I hope we continue to hire good people like this because "it all flows downhill" and we will continue to be a class act program Welcome to Clemson Coach!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: New offensive line coach?

Jan 24, 2011, 7:39 AM

Since he coached under #### Sheridan, he is nothing but a class act. He also knows how to do his job and do it well! Go Tigers!
