Wow! I didn't see this coming. Brownell definitely needs some bodies in there. Hope Nuke can contribute and help get some of the other guys some rest too. Sounds like he's got a background to be able to help the team.

Also sounds like maybe Dabo is afraid another Kyle Parker situation might happen with one of his star players....ie., missing his practices and not getting the experience he may need in football. Hope Deandre is good.....but not too good in basketball. Need him on the gridiron!

Don't worry, Nuke isn't close to as good of a basketball player as Parker was a baseball player. I think it's great that he is going to play, and he will provide some defensive help and athleticism. But Dabo won't be losing him to basketball any time soon.

He will be in football practive first.
With Basketball coming in the calendar year after football no need to worry about a parker situation anyway.
Never heard of a football player playing basketball and having a conflict.

I played a lot with Jesse Yanutola this past year. Makes you realize just how good you have to be to even be on the team much less see playing time.
