Clemson flag over Virginia

My wife's family lives up near Roanoake, not far from Va Tech's campus (kinda like Greenville to Clemson). She suggested I take the flag up on our hike Monday. Got a great pic! Go Tigers!
FYI, the spot is called McAfee's Knob and it's part of the Appalachian Trail.

disagree with that remark that you can talk to VaTech fans. You can't talk to many people in Virginia period about much as they think it is the greatest place in the world to live and go on and on about how much better it is and they are. I have lived in 5 states and never seen anything like it. When VaTech beat us in football several years back I got an email from an old "friend" I worked with up there the next day talking smack. Nothing in years then that, was very typical of him and them. I have lost nothing in Virginia that ever makes me want to go back.

Must be a hiking thing then - that's the only time I've really run in to them. I've met some cool Tech fans on the trails up there.

Wow, must've been a slow news day for this to get POTD.
I'd like to thank my wife, for suggesting we take the flag and who took the picture, the Va Tech fans there who had the self-control not to push me off the ledge, the Clemson football team whose dominating performances the last two seasons has depressed/frustrated all of said Va Tech fans to the point where they didn't want to risk plummeting off the ledge themselves when I deftly sidestepped their attempt to push me off in a move I learned from watching DW4, the thru-hikers who considerately stood upwind of us as much as they could, God for creating such a beautiful place, and the Clemson nation for their love and support. I'll be at Barnes & Noble tonight at 7 to sign books. Just random books. Hopefully they won't kick me out for it now that I'm famous.
