Of course a lot of people wouldn’t want it this way, but it would be better for getting butts in seats and amping up the atmosphere in LJ ...
It has worked in the past for NIT games ... why not for a few regular season games ?

I don't disagree that they should do this for some of the regular season non-conference games...but not the South Carolina game. Sorry...just not realistic.
To answer the original question...it'll be a full house. They'll pull other folks into the student sections, assuming local students don't show up themselves. South Carolina will be well-represented as well.

They are out of classes, which is why I said "local" students...meaning ones that are either (1) staying on/near campus during the break or (2) living at home and still close enough (Seneca, Anderson, Easley, Greenville, etc.) to make the drive to get their student ticket.

General admission! $10 bucks! First come, first served!
Gets people in seats and gets the most dedicated, enthusiastic people in the seats closest to the court.
IMHO, this is the way college basketball ought to be.
Season tickets are a joke as far as consistently having a crowd at the games.

guess you aren't a season tix holder. i have been since the late 70's. seen some good basketball and some bad basketball. but i've been there- missed 3 ACC home games over that time and prob less than 25
home games total. and i have about a 90 minute one way trip.
sooo... mark me down as against first come first serve seating.

We see the stark evidence in the stands for practically every home game where the opposition is not UNC or Duke.

Free tickets for Friday’s game? Our fans should be all over that.
And only $10 to see our ACC opener on a Saturday afternoon. That should be a SELLOUT. Period.
