Why so much 2020 chatter

Jun 17, 2018, 5:54 PM

Is it just me or has there been a lot of 2020 recruiting talk? It just seems like we’re talking a lot about a recruiting class two years from now as opposed to what’s going on in our current recruiting class. There just doesn’t seem to be very much talk anymore about our 2019 class. Are we done for 2019? I’m not complaining — I’m just asking why is there so much talk about players that are sophomores in high school as opposed to talk about seniors in high school? Just curious and a little concerned about where our 2019 class will end up. It looks great now but there is a lot of silence on what we’re going to pick up the rest of this class — just asking.
The focus seems to have moved to the 2020 class — that’s just how it appears to me —not just on Tigernet but every where concerning Clemson recruiting .

For the 2019 class

We have 15 commits
We have 3-4 silent commits
We lead for another 3-4

The total will be approximately 28 player and we will end up ranked in the top eight in the country which is sweet as our staff won a natty with recruiting classes which were ranked on average in the low teens

Guys are silent for a reason so I will not pubically steal their thunder by naming names. There is a DB in Georgia who has pubically shut down his recruiting and will commit in August on his birthday.

We are in great shape for 2019 and happy to see such a push for 2020. Why not just let DABO and the coaches do what they do best? Seems like we have gotten 4 in the last week or. Or did I just dream tha

A little bit scared -- not really but "herding cats" is still a classic.

I was actually a little surprised by the slowish development of 2019 since 2018 was wrapped up super early. It's not in bad shape but I expected or average to be a little higher since our coaches had extra time to work on this class. I kinda hope they tell everyone they plan to make the 2020 class smaller than it CAN be to balance out the next year.

sophomores? What are juniors?

The best marketing for recruits is winning out in 2018

And returning to WRU. Both BAMA and UGA are opening up QB play but continue their primary focus on RB play. CLEMSON has an opportunity to stay ahead of the curve with WRU and QBU if the vertical pass is reintroduced in 2018.
