Why is everyone on T-net so hyped on fixing our

running game? Versus Lousiville individual running stats:
Etienne 6 carries 98 yards 16.3 YPC Feaster 10 carries 92 yards 9.2 YPC Choice 4 carries 47 yards 11.75 YPC Fuller 10 carries 34 yards 3.4 YPC
I don't think it's broken. Let's not fix it.

In a close game you can't run 4 guys out there . Dabo needs to let the best 2 have it and when the game is out of hand give it to the other 2. Having 4 backs rotating will not work , it will lead to fumbles, off sides and no sense of regulatory.

Well I can guarantee you this in a tight game right now a couple of those backs won't get any carries. They are not going to rotate 4 backs on a regular schedule. It doesn't take a Brian surgeon to figure that out.

How long does it take to become a Brian surgeon? Sounds like a very limiting field to specialize in.

It will not lead to anything. Could it result in those things? Sure, but if all four guys are disciplined it could also give us a huge advantage late in games when fresh bodies take on a tired front seven.

Like I said late in games the 3rd and 4th string backs will get some carries. But to have a designed 4 back rotation, it will never happen.

Hey, Rev

I agree that the guys looked great Saturday night. All four had their moments and ran hard. We should also tip our hat to the offensive line. There were some holes out there! KB waltzed in during his second touchdown - untouched. Milan Richard had some good plays blocking, and all of the guys were pulling and getting good angles. Great game.
I can't help but wonder how good Louisville's defensive line might have been. The pre-game word was that it was decent and that their secondary was suspect. Viewing the game, I thought their secondary played well in spots. Both their line and coverage guys were worn out by the time the game was over, so how good are some of those numbers? Our rushing looked sub-par against a great Auburn front and looked great against the Birds, so which one is it?
I loved the results from Saturday but hesitate to say we have arrived. It is still early in the season. Heck, I was reading an article about VTech's game against ECU, and the Hokies are thumping their chest and remembering the "good game" they had against us in December. But the Pirates are pathetic this year. The Hokies are even calculating their national championship odds!
The running game was humming Saturday, but I'd like to see the same results the next two weeks before claiming that we have arrived.

While it was good against UL

It wasn't against an actual defense, Auburn. UL split their LBs out and left huge wholes in the middle Erich we exploited. I am encouraged but would like to see it against tougher competition.

Then I recommend that you ask Dabo if you can attend our practices. That's where you will find the BEST DEFENSE in the country. Other teams do NOT have a defense like CLEMSON has. Sorry, but that's just the way things are.

Not everyone is so hyped up about fixing our running game. In fact, I'm inclined to let whatever problems that need fixing be handled by our coaching staff.I mean, after all, they are the staff of the defending national champions and the last time I checked nobody on T-Net was part of that staff.

Dude this is a free message board to talk CLEMSON football. It's what its for , you post the same weak comments over and over. Relax and enjoy life instead of trying to be a smart ### all the time.
