I mean what fan base do you know that eats its own mascot? Lane stadium sells turkey leg at its concession stands. I just don't understand.

They are a weird bunch at least the ones I sat around at the 2011 ACCCG. They were cool until the 3rd and then they went Coo Coo.

My 2011 ACCCG experience.

I concur...my seat was in a row with VT fans. They were cordial up to game time, then turned very quickly and yelled obscenities at me, and anyone else who was cheering for the Tigers. The one meathead even threatened to bust my chops the next time I cheered. I didn't back down from the clown and told him to mind his own business. They pretty much left halfway through the third quarter when Boyd and Co. had taken care of business. Not impressed with the imps. Saturday night will be hellish tough in that environment, however. GO TIGERS!

I remember walking back to the car at the 2011 ACCCG and observing the parking lots.
The lots that were predominantly Clemson were clean and had bags of garbage that were neatly placed.
And the VT lots: Seriously almost knee deep in scattered trash. (and no cars...they were already halfway back to VA)
Simply put, two different classes of human beings, for the most part.

I know a couple personally and let me put it this way :
They believe they're an elite program even though they've never won a national championship.
They think Michael Vick still plays for them.
When you mention " Clemson" they remember nothing after 2007. Very cootish

I work with a couple that are generally well-mannered

They seem to be educated about their team's plight in the current football landscape and hope to get back to the success they witnessed for a long time.
I think they went 10+ seasons w/ 10+ wins. Eventually, even success becomes the norm and the luster fades. Hope we can get to and navigate that terrain better than they have.
