Tony Morrell on Josh Belk on WCCP

Aug 14, 2018, 8:18 AM

Said the Gamecocks feel good about him getting a waiver for immediate eligibility due to family issues. Was hoping Mickey would ask him that if that is the case then why did he visit multiple schools further away than his hometown after he decided to transfer from Clemson?

I hate the way things turned out for this young man. He gave

up way too early. I could be wrong but I can't think of many transfers who had truly successful careers at Div 1 schools once they transferred with the exception of Chad Kelly who did pretty well but nowhere near as well as Deshaun Watson. I wish Chad well as he is off to a pretty decent start in the pros! I think he did the correct thing by transferring but usually it doesn't work out that well.

It's hard to wish Josh Belk the best because he didn't give us a chance and should've waited out ONE YEAR to see how things transpired. Nevertheless I hope things go well for him in every game except the one versus us. Therefore I can now say I wish him well because I want him to be successful.

selfishly i wish he would have stayed but I don't know that

I can blame him too much. If you look at a stud like Albert Huggins who is a all acc caliber defensive lineman, who will never be a starter at Clemson but might be the best DL on the team. He's just playing with/behind a bunch of superstars that came before him. I think Belk saw that and wanted to play for a scrub that he knew he would see the field as much as he wanted. And some guys don't want to be pushed they want to be the one in control. The only mistake is the lying to get out of it and then going to that columbia. I don't know that he helped his reputation there but kids do dumb things.

You said exactly what I've been thinking but couldn't put in

Chad Kelly didn't have a choice to transfer, he was kicked off the team.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

Oh he had a choice...

...don’t make dumb choices.

Good...

If he does get to play, I can’t wait to see our OL light him up on 11/24.

That would be nice to see across the entire line not just JB

who felt so confident about Brian Bowen, the basketball transfer from Louisville?

How friggin stupid can you be?

Your school was implicated in the FBI's criminal complaint. A former coach, Lamont Evans, is accused of taking bribes to steer players to certain agents.

Your school received a subpoena from a federal grand jury demanding all documents, communications and evidence regarding actual or potential NCAA rules violations in the men’s basketball program

So what do those tards do in response?

They accept a transfer from a kid who was directly involved in the scandal.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Interesting.

Also, I'm curious as to your thoughts on the starting QB situation.
