TNet is confused over Dabo ball

It is interesting to read how our furture depends on the ACC or Coots winning or other conference senerios. Dabo ball says to have a windshield mentality and focus on Clemson. Only Clemson can beat Clemson and all outside issues will take care of themselves.

So VT and BC lost. Oh my! We need the Coots to win!!! LOL. No. We need to focus on Syracuse and get better at what Clemson does.
Take some Tums and relax. The sky is not falling yet. Only Clemson can beat Clemson. Or put another way, remain unbeaten and this team meets it goals.

This is the most talented team in Clemson history. Let’s hope it stays focus and realizes it’s full potential.

Oh yes. Stop all the whining.

+1 and you’re right, however nothing wrong with wanting our opponents to be good. It does matter to our sos. The better our competition, the better we will be. Not really worried about it... but it makes for interesting conversation.

I think you are confused between what the team needs to focus on and what the fans can focus on.

The team can only beat who is on the schedule so it doesn't matter who they play they need to win. They are supposed to focus on small picture items and take it one game at a time and not allow outside influences.

Fans get to see the big college football landscape and ponder what-if scenarios. "We" as fans don't need to focus on Syracuse, the team does.

You are correct, if Clemson goes undefeated, the team will be in the playoff. However, fans know just how hard that is since we saw loses to inferior teams the past two seasons. Clemson got into the playoffs in those years because the SOS was pretty good. With the teams that are on the schedule this year there likely will not be a do-over". So while the statement "win and we're in" is likely true, "lose and we're out" is also likely true.
