Some downtime entertainment for us old guys...

...and yes, I have a man-crush on Michael McDonald. What a voice.

So, that really is you on the F-22....

ps: from the TD, somebody must not like him as much, eh? Probably a REALLY old guy that liked the early Doobies....

So Steely Dan > The Doobie Brothers ... or nah ?

He was nearly the Doobie killer!

Hard to believe he came from Steely Dan with all that pop music of his. Thank goodness the Doobies survived that era. Not necessarily bad music but definitely not classic DB rock.

Becker and Fagen WERE Steely Dan.

Every other member, including McDonald, were supporting musicians who toed the line and did EXACTLY what they were told... and they had to play it to perfection. Read that their recording sessions were brutal - as Becker and Fagen were perfectionists - and that they also didn’t tour much at first for that reason.

Steely Dan is definitely one of my top ten bands of all time.

Love Michael McDonald and the Doobie Brothers! Saw them at Littlejohn in 1974. Great memories! Still listen to their music all the time, as well as Steely Dan. Terrific music from "back in the day."

1973- 74 Doobies were probably the hottest band on the planet...

How about the early 80"s SUV about 2 mins in the video and 2 Station wagons
pull up side by side. My mom and Dad had a NICE station wagon if there were
such a thing.
