Miami and Notre Dame are playing right now and the Irish have a 2-1 lead. If they hang on to win, who will we throw. My bet would be Hennessy after his long rest but he was inconsistent in his last start. I personally believe that no matter who we send out on the hill, we will get the job done!!! Interested in what yall think and GO TIGERS!!!

I am biased, but I am hoping Notre Dame wins this game in 15 innings and uses up their bullpen. Clemson should be able to beat both ND and Miami, but I won't object to a little extra advantage.
ND did get a bad schedule with this night game followed by 3 pm tomorrow vs Clemson. Price you pay for being a low seed.

I'm hoping ND does win. That'll make our game tomorrow mean win to advance. Then we can opt to not kill our pen on Thursday if it comes to that versus Miami. It'll be a throwaway game as far as ACCT play is concerned. Let the staff get rested for Saturday's semi.

Plus if we beat ND and Miami is a nothing game, then we can get Hennessy some work if they're not fully confident in him coming back.

I think we go Strider-Ryan Miller combo vs. Notre Dame, Crawford vs. Miami, Higgy-Miller combo in semifinal and Henny-Gilliam-Spiers combo in championship game, assuming we survive our pool

If Miami is a throw away game he won’t start crawford. That’s when he will start Hennessy to get him back into the flow of things. Save Crawford/Higgy for semis and championship.

If he starts strider I’m sure we’ll have to use bullpen b/c his pitch count gets high fast. I wonder if he will go to Hennessy our the pen. (Big switch up from strider to Hennessy) or does he go straight to Miller? I think if strider can make it 5 innings he goes straight to Miller. Anything less than that he may want to get some outs from Hennessy’s arm

If ND wins I don’t see Monte throwing Crawford on 5 day rest so probably Strider.

I went back and listened to Monte presser and he indicated that Hennessy should be rested enough to go. Said that they had given him 7 days off and the trainer felt like that was enough time to get it healed up. I must have missed it along the way that he had hurt it somehow. Maybe that’s why he got hit last time out... don’t know.
Just hope that pitcher at ND that gave us fits tussy is pitching tonight as well asmckenfry from Miami is pitching tonight. He’s the fella that pitched a complete against us and allow 1 run.

Yeah cabeza??? Is the one we finally got to in the second game.
Go ND !!! Don’t want Thursday game to mean anything. If nd holds on tonight and we beat them tomorrow, I’d pitch gobin Thursday!
