I'm far from a Steelers fan, so therefore know little to nothing about that organization (or Villanueva, aside from seeing him in USAA commercials). But bravo to that guy for standing up, thinking for himself and doing what is right.

Btw - what are these players protesting these days anyway? BLM antics? It's turned into just another way to get these celebs airtime, nothing less.

Used to really like Tomlin

Anyone who served can do whatever they want during our anthem. As for the rest of us, I believe you're not a decent person unless you stand, remove your cap and look towards the flag. If you choose not to do so, I'll think less of you. But that is your right.

Protestesting is great and American

Sep 25, 2017, 10:40 AM

as long as you're not protesting the protest, apparently.

There might not be an 'I' in team, but there sure as hell an "i can" in American.

America bless God.

You are exactly right....

Sep 25, 2017, 10:55 AM

...we have some folks on Tigernet that are calling you a "divisive" person if you protest the protest. It is the original protesters who are driving the wedge deeper. The one time folks can come together, forget politics and pull for their team together, you have these players bringing in politics. Am I supposed to high-five the guy next to me when a TD is scored knowing he also decided to kneel or sit for the anthem? Heck no!

Sometimes the best way to respond to a protest

Sep 25, 2017, 11:15 AM

is to ignore it. To avoid starting down a political slippery slope, I will leave it at that.

Yep, I will ignore the NFL. Have they checked ratings?

good work

Sep 25, 2017, 11:24 AM

you can always count on the subject and body of a fox news article to not agree.

Yes, they are the bogeyman....we must all ignore....

...all sources of info that hurt our feelings because after all our feeling are more important than facts.
