Why Dabo isn't a good X's and O's coach? I mean, the dude has been around football his entire life. He has 20+ years of coaching experience. With that much experience, if you weren't half way decent with X's and O's then you are probably an idiot or have some sort of mental disorder. I think we all know that is not the case with Dabo.
How did this talking point get started? I really don't get it. I don't hear that about any other coach except for him.

Dabo hasn't ever been a coordinator!! Dabo isn't married to a particular offense system. Dabo does not come from a particular coaching tree that uses a system.
Mostly it means "We're mad that we didn't succeed with a non-traditional hire."

I know you say this in jest, but it's still not a good explanation. The fact of the matter is that he went from WR coach to Head Coach to National championship coach all within 11 years. I would think that the person who is able to attain these feats would be borderline genius.

He does hire outstanding coordinators who probably cover much of the blackboard, uh.....computer stuff.

having coordinator experience. Dabo made good hires once he got his feet under him, evaluated how he was progressing towards his goals and made some significant layoffs and hires to meet those goals. It's a false narrative that's fodder for the uninformed and haters, so, there really is no good explanation for it...

Jealousy from a bunch of morons whose coach thinks that you run two running plays and if you get less than 6 yards you pass on third down ..... rinse, wring, and repeat .... until you have lost the game and have 230 yards of total offense.
