I have a dumb question

Feb 24, 2018, 12:21 PM

I know y'all are SHOCKED

Here goes: how can a player have a slugging percentage above 1.000? For example, Cromwell slg% 1.053.

The definition of awesome!

It's basically total bases / at bats

Say a player has 4 home runs in 6 at bats. Slugging would be approaching 3.000

Calculated by total bases compared to total AB's

Feb 24, 2018, 1:25 PM

for example, a player who goes 4-4 with four singles has a 1.000 SLG. OPS is on base percentage plus slugging
