foul when he cleanly tied up the Kansas player in the corner. That was a 4/5 point swing in the final minute of the game. That sealed the deal for the Jayhawks.

that was a terrible call...

Mar 23, 2018, 10:23 PM

And makes me want to have coaches challenges on fouls (and I hate the idea but they already do it...see Elijah’s no foul called yet a flagrant foul was called). Let’s start holding these officials accountable.

We did have a couple of makeup calls in the second half.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

There is never makeup calls, just poor officiating.

Officials are hired and paid to do a job. Just do it!!! Coaches and players and fans deserve and expect it.

That's nice, but the point is that the officials missed

a clear tie up in the corner, which should've resulted in our possession, but instead resulted in a foul and Kansas points at the free throw line. This occurred in a very critical point in the game. Obviously we had some calls go in our favor, and that one blown call didn't determine the outcome on its own, but it could've put us in a better position for sure.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to play the contrarian role all the time.

I agree. Why not give the coaches like 2 challenges a half? Officials are over there anyway checking time because apparently this generation of time keepers are bored with the game. and they can't decide who the ball went off of out of bounds, etc. 4 extra stops-more commercials +more money for networks-more bathroom breaks..everyone wins. Not like it would add a ton of time in a game. You get crews who call every touch foul and some who call nothing. If time alone were an issue, fire the touchy feely guys. Perhaps have women in the crews--I can't see them doing that "How do we escape his/her bad call" crap. Why is it important in football but not in basketball?

because they are expecting Clemson to foul in that situation and have the whistle ready for it. I've seen teams get furious when they thought they fouled, it wasn't called, and the other team gets the ball up the floor and runs off another 5-10 seconds.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What a crazy reasoning. Just blow the whistle because they

Mar 24, 2018, 11:42 AM

I thought the refs did a decent job but had some really bad calls on Clemson. The Thomas flagrant was pathetic. The play where reed got pushed but called for a foul, Gabe’s tie up, and when they called gave for a foul on the 3 pointer was such bs.

2024 purple level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And those bad calls were HUGE! Big impact on score.***

Mar 24, 2018, 12:26 PM

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Refs should call what they see. Nothing to see there.

Mar 24, 2018, 12:24 PM [ in reply to It was a bad call but that's a tough spot for the officials ]

That's a crappy excuse --- calling a foul because you expect them to foul?!?!!? Refs are professionals and should only call what they SEE not what they EXPECT to see.
