I Have Had No Luck Finding a Clear Answer

Jan 17, 2019, 3:30 PM

Not to be negative, but if for some reason, Braden Galloway is suspended next year for the ostarine thing, can he be redshirted or is the year lost forever? I searched but could not find a clear answer. Hoping someone here may know. Thanks

Joe Mixon redshirted the year he was suspended, so maybe?***

Yep. Knock a female unconscious, get suspended but redshirt. Have a trace amount of a banned substance, get suspended but can't redshirt. Our system of values is a little awry if you ask me.

I think I read somewhere, if the suspension sticks, he loses

He loses a year regardless. It is my understanding you cannot red shirt due to a suspension by the NCAA. They may be able to get 2018 back, if he played in less than 4 games (I do not know his playing totals), but he will most certainly lose a year if his appeal is turned down.

He played in 12 games. I think the only game he didn't play in was A&M (besides the CFP).
