Hindsight is 20/20 but ...

Mar 21, 2019, 5:56 PM

If Mitchell was hurt all year with a busted knee perhaps we would have been better off with Trapp ? starting ... always thought Mitchell looked "off" the whole year and then I see he was hurt the whole time ? A hurt Mitchell is better then a healthy Trapp ?

Trapp is a real mystery. He can look so good to a second later look so bad. If he gets major minutes you can count on him having pocket picked a couple times a game.

I agree. Trapp probably would have developed more and then possibly use Mitchell off the bench or down the stretch if Trapp was struggling etc. coach has got to make that tough call. Now it sounds like to me he’s starting his excuse train for why we live up to expectations.

Who’s excuse train? And here’s a thought, we lose a guy to transfer one minute before the season starts, said player can knock in a three and stretch the defense. Scratch my head but I think that’s exactly what Gabe gave us last year. Just saying. I haven’t heard anyone making excuses. Multiple games came down to guys needing to make plays and they didn’t. The game plan was there. Stop looking for a bus to throw someone under.

Welp. Not trying to throw anyone under the bus. All I said is agree with the original post that in hindsight, maybe we should have gone with Trapp. Mitchell wanted to play but it’s the coaches tough decision to keep him out if he was hurt.

I just wonder why no one knew he was hurt all year. Excuse train is probably the wrong words. Just more justification to keep CBB. No money, no fans, Zion did us wrong, we lost close games to good competition, facilities... it’s just endless with CBB. At some point in time, you have to win with “ugly ducklings”.

Good guys don’t win games, good coaches do.

Who transferred one minute before the season?
