Will coaches run the quarterback less in 2015 to protect Watson? Swinney says no

Deshaun Watson is no stranger to running the football, but many Clemson fans who watched the freshman signal caller suffer significant injuries on running plays last season would rather see the Georgia native run the football less in 2015. Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney says no.

Dabo Swinney previews spring practice, talks injuries and quarterback race
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney previewed the start of spring practice, and he covered a lot of ground. What are the newest player updates? What does he say about the quarterback competition?

Projected Starters: Defense
Spring practice begins next week and several position battles are up in the air as the Tigers begin a month-long process that ends with the annual spring game on April 11th. Before we head into the spring and we thought it would be interesting to take a look at what we think the starting lineups on defense would look like if the season started today.

Spring Breakdown: Offensive Line
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney says he likes competition and frequently likes to mention that “iron sharpens iron.” If that’s indeed the case, he should love his offensive line battles this spring. TigerNet takes a look at the offensive line battles this spring.

Hood: Howard's Rock IS Clemson, and now it's time to protect it
Howard’s Rock is more than just a stone - it’s a piece of history that years ago gave an identity to a school and a football program trying to make its way in the land of big boy, southern football. Since the rock was first placed atop the hill, generations of Clemson fans, football players and coaches and even the casual tourist have taken the time to touch it and have a picture or two taken with the rock. Countless memories have been made along the way.

Watson: Shock and Awe just part of the game and the person
Deshaun Watson has already proven just how special he can be on the football field, and Clemson fans are already anticipating where a healthy Watson can lead the Tigers in 2015. Watson talks about the win over the Gamecocks, his rehab from knee surgery and future dreams.
