Mitch Hyatt named to All-America team

Another day and another major award for a Clemson player.

Junior standout offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt was selected to ESPN's All-America team on Tuesday.

"A mainstay on Clemson's line since his arrival, Hyatt helped the Tigers achieve remarkable offensive balance this season while utilizing a multipronged run game. He protected quarterback Kelly Bryant's blind side and recorded 28 knockdowns in 722 snaps during the regular season," ESPN.com said. "The first-team All-ACC selection and winner of the ACC's Jacobs Blocking Trophy has started 41 of 42 games during his three seasons at Clemson."

Remarkably, no players from Clemson's stingy defense this season made the cut for ESPN's All-America team.

The only other ACC player on the list was North Carolina State defensive end Bradley "Towels" Chubb.
