Hunter Renfrow jokes about his speed in Madden: "I'm not that fast!"

Oakland Raiders rookie Hunter Renfrow was one of the top route runners in college the last few years as he was pretty unstoppable in the slot position.

Renfrow was never regarded as a true speed-burner even though he always had sufficient speed to separate from defenders, especially of the Alabama variety.

The video game 'Maddon NFL 20' released their new ratings for rookies and Renfrow was surprised that his speed was so high with a score of 85.

“It’s my speed rating, man,” Renfrow told ESPN's Matthew Berry at an NFLPA event.

"I had spoken to a few Madden producers earlier, and they had mentioned that Renfrow, like many athletes before him, was unhappy with a rating of his, so I asked him about it," Berry wrote.

“What’s the issue?”

“It’s too high!” Renfrow said to Berry. “Man, they got me at 85. I’m not that fast. I want it lower, like an 82. Come on. Give me something to work up to!"

Renfrow finished his Tigers career fifth in career receptions (186) and 11th in receiving yards (2,133).
