Clemson ranked No.1 in ACC Power Rankings |
The following is a no-brainer regards to the ACC.
Clemson was ranked No. 1 overall Wednesday in ESPN's ACC Preseason Power Rankings. "What's not to like? The Tigers bring back that vaunted defensive line, have oodles of talent at the skill positions, and the biggest offseason question mark is whether their true freshman QB is so good they have to bench the guy who got them to the playoff last year," ESPN said. "This is a playoff team again -- and depending on how the QB position unfolds, potentially a special one." Six of the top eight ACC schools in the rankings reside in the ACC Atlantic with No. 1 Clemson, No. 3 Florida State, No. 4 Boston College, No. 6 North Carolina State, No. 7 Louisville, and No. 8 Wake Forest. Besides Syracuse, it appears that ESPN thinks highly of the ACC Atlantic compared to the ACC Coastal division which basically has two quality teams in Miami and Virginia Tech.
