Clemson center ranked in ESPN's Top 25 prospect list |
It's never really too soon to think about the next crop of NBA players.
ESPN released their Way-Too-Early Top 25 list of the top prospects for next year's NBA Draft and Clemson junior center Elijah Thomas was ranked No. 20 overall. "Thomas is a mobile 6-9 forward who can move down the floor with ease and compete in the paint with the country's top bigs," ESPN.com said. "He averaged 10.7 PPG, 8.1 RPG, and 2.3 BPG last season, a strong year for a player who could help an NBA team that wants a shot-blocker with athleticism and agility. He's raw but promising." ACC players were highlighted throughout the top 20 with Duke forward R.J. Barrett (No. 3), Virginia guard De'Andre Hunter (No. 7), North Carolina forward Nassir Little (No. 8), Virginia Tech guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker (No. 14), Syracuse forward (No. 16), and Florida State guard M.J. Walker (No. 18).
