Clemson has offered 4-star 2020 cornerback RJ Mickens from Southlake, TX (Southlake Carroll) on Thursday according to his Twitter account.

"Extremely blessed and honored to receive an offer from THE Clemson University," Mickens posted.

Defensive coordinator Brent Venables and assistant coach Mickey Conn visited the high school on Thursday and also offered his teammate TJ McDaniel.

Mickens has national offers from Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Clemson, Duke, Georgia, Houston, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, SMU, South Carolina, Stanford, Texas A&M, UCLA, and New Mexico.

As a sophomore, he was a Class 6A second-team all-state selection after making 99 tackles including 13 pass breakups.

In 2016, he was named 1st team 5-6A all-district after having 32 tackles, 12 pass breakups, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles in 10 games.

His father is former NFL defensive back Ray Mickens who played 10 years in the pros with the Jets, Browns, and Patriots.
