Is that not true in softball? SCAR catcher used her leg to try to completely block plate.

It came into play in Texas/OU this past weekend. Texas catcher got the OU girl out for final out when it would have been obstruction in past years

They changed the rule this year. Basically it is like baseball. You can block it but not until you have the ball.
