Men's tennis going to Columbia Saturday to face #2 South Carolina

That's right, the Gamecocks are ranked #2 in the nation. They started the year #5 after their two top seniors announced they were returning. They upset #1 Virginia in Charloteesville on Sunday to move to #2.
We are going there for the ITA kickoff weekend. Its a 4 team regional. us vs SC and Louisville vs LSU. So we will play two matches, either LSU or Louisville for game 2 depending who wins and loses.

It's been quite a while since the Clemson Tigers were competitive with top tier teams. Hopefully we can get back to that level soon.

we have 4 of our top 6 as Freshmen so its already a new era with Coach Wagner. I'm hoping this year will be a big step forward

Agreed... My family loves tennis, so I want Clemson to succeed. My daughter played for Anderson, and my son was the President (and top singles player) on the Clemson Club team that finished 23rd in the nation last year. Coach Wagner asked him to be the team manager to help with practices and help run the team, since he was already doing that for the Club team. He declined, because of all the travel involved. It was a good decision, because he will be graduating Suma ### Laude in Economics in May. He's then going for his Masters at Clemson. He plays sparingly with the Club team now, but is still involved.

My Junior and senior year. Phenomenal experience. Was also the last time we have an ncaa tournament level team.

Is they have the edge in us when it comes to Olympic sports. The tennis stuff is made worse by fact a former Tiger is their current HC (IIRC) & has them doing so great.
Don't see the upset happening but man if only...would be huge for Clemson tennis
