I expect you should get used to it. He will be in much demand, if we continue to see the successes we've had this year. Just shows he was a great get. Great job Dabo and TDP.

Relax bud, this is how these things work.
Big programs try to take from smaller programs. We did it to Tulsa, and other programs like LSU, Ohio State, etc will try to do it to us. Don't be mad that other programs were trying to improve themselves...that's their job. Instead, be happy that Morris likes the area, the culture, and sees the potential to turn Clemson into one of those great programs.
Glad to see we got this done. Even though this offense sputtered thru November, it's still the first year we've run it. Add a year for Tajh to learn everything, and our line to get used to the blocking schemes, and we will be looking really good.

Spent a lot of time with Chad's mom and dad Saturday...Chad is indeed very happy at clemson and tis new contract only reinforces what his parents were telling us...

If we have a solid, injury free offensive line
Dec 4, 2011, 9:50 PM

Our offense should be even greater than it is now. Last night the line played well and it was a huge difference. I think the play of our OL and LBs on defense are the difference in the games we won versus the games we lost.

Step 1 complete (of 3)
Dec 4, 2011, 9:50 PM
|
|
Now that the regular season is over, Dabo needs 3 things to get 2012 and beyond going. 1)keep Chad 2) win the bowl game (11 win season, finish with 2 game win streak, ?top 10 finish ) 3) Close out with another signature recruitng class.
This team can be big time in 1-2 years.

Umm, or Right Now! We are ACC Champs and Orange Bowl

bound! That's considered "big time" in most circles! But I understand what you mean.. we can continue to be big time! The only thing lacking in my opinion is a win over USC to go along with all this.

I have to agree. Great win the other night and lets enjoy it but we need to not forget the GA Tech, NC State and South Carolina games. We need to improve in many areas and the line will be young next year.

You gotta love how encouraged he is about our direction of the team. And how he says Him and his Family loves being in Clemson. We all already knew that Clemson was gods country. And that there is something very special in those hills....

Tigers, we have a fun few years(hopefully decades) to look foreward to. Think its a coincidence everyone loves to call Upstate SC a great place to live and raise a family? All in all the time Tiger Nation!

Recievers and running backs love this type system. Come on young men. Clemson is wanting the best of the best of you. If you feel you have what it takes to "compete" for playing time, come on down and man up!!!

I think it speaks VOLUMES not only about the program but

the place in general. Doesn't he have school aged kids? Who wouldn't want to finish raising your kids there?
The people who haven't been there can't understand what a truly special place it is (I know that sounds cliche but it's true).
I know he'll go eventually because the guy has HC potential but I think he sees Clemson (the college and the area) for the special place it is.

For the right offer, you move your family anywhere
Dec 5, 2011, 11:01 AM
|

For comparable, slightly more money you might stay in Clemson because it's a lovely place to raise your family and you like the job and the people you work with. But if someone were to offer you another million/year (for example) you'd have to think about the benefits that could bring your family-- especially if it was some other nice college town, like Austin, and a quality program.

Good hire, smart move. Smarter than Tommy's $4M buyout!

I just hope it's enough to actually retain him for several years, and not just enough to raise his exit cost to a potential employer.
