Yes of course Randall thinks our receiver group is going to be great
What the he** are they supposed to say? The coaches too.
They’ve been saying they were great for the last 4 years and nothing changes.
Please stop putting importance on what they say and posting it on the main page. Their words mean nothing if the actions don’t line up.
To be clear, I do think the receiver group is going to improve. Westco looks fantastic. We’ll see TJ Moore later. Antonio Williams looked great.
And They may be special.
But let’s focus on asking them questions that actually inform us on what they’re doing to improve. Because they have not been special or as good as they say they are the last few years.
But
1) Players are supposed to say good things about the team
2) Words don’t freakin’ matter
It’s annoying

Why would you post a receiver quote when he said his group was “special”
Every player for every team everywhere is going to express positivity about their team. It’s expected.
No Clemson player will speak the truth if it will hurt the team’s mentality.
So what’s the point in making it news when a Clemson player does?

If poasting player and coaches quotes aren't insider information, then I don't know what I'd. We don't have spies to rely on... we have reporters.
I want to see it on the field as well, but until football season begins we have to get information anywhere we can.

You can get better info man. They could’ve asked more about the actual offensive scheme or what have you. Not just simply, “Hey you think you’ve got a good receiver group?” Lol

There is no need to care about Clemson being WRU lol. There is a need for simple improvement.
Some of these writers think that Clemson is still at the top of the mountain, and think that these quotes conform to it.
I don’t care what anybody thinks or says, they’ve got to go show it on the field.
And as far as I’m concerned, our team has been average. Barely. I know we still got 10 wins, but obviously the performance is not there.

Ha ha, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the article on the front page...just kinda rolled my eyes, thinking "here we go again with the preseason hype". Every year talking about how the light has come on and we're going to be great this year - until you go up against other teams that have been practicing too.

Dabo and his outward support for Cade and DJ showed loyalty, and every trait in the book. I love Dabo and wouldn’t choose anybody else to be a QB for.

Now this is a little different than saying the group is special. Just because they’re fast doesn’t make them great.

Dabo has 2 titles, and uncountable accomplishments for Clemson. His way is going to be stuck with.
But he’s not creating accountability by talking how he’s talking. And how he tells his players to talk.
One thing though, making your players talk this way does abbots issues of media attention and all those weird things players at other places will say.
At Clemson, we have a way about doing and saying things. With respect for ourselves and others.
