This is the first time that I’ve seen that mentioned.

Would not member institutions have to be notified

of said action prior to it being done on their behalf? And maybe even have to agree to it also?

You would think so the conference should not be allowed to act autonomously

To legally go after a member institution. Doesn’t that now take $ from the other member schools to fight it? Who is in for that and where was the vote? Is it much like not having the rights to have a copy of the GOR or write down details about or take photos of the doc too? This all needs to be presented to a judge and get a ruling on just this rogue entity called the ACC who is trying to hold members hostage like they are.

This is an interesting point. If the ACC was being sued by a member institution, I could understand them defending themselves and member institution consent would be implied but for the ACC to go out on it's own and file a first shot lawsuit without knowledge or consent of it's member institutions is a bit scary

Yep.. saw that too. Its an attempt to establish jurisdiction in North Carolina

FSU should not file a lawsuit and counter that this is frivolous since FSU has not filed anything in court. Have it thrown out then file a lawsuit in FL to include harassment of a member by the ACC.

Wonder what verbage was redacted? ACC must've given it to the DOJ before filing. They very good at redaction.
