This one appears as least to be somewhere between "very possible" and "highly likely." Seems like the only hold-up is PAC 12 finalizing a TV contract. (Rumors are that could happen any day.)
Hopefully, it is true. Hopefully if it is true then the dominoes will start to fall.
1. PAC-12 takes SMU and SDSU.
2. That means Big 12 will expand and take Colorado and somebody else (Memphis?)
3. That might make SEC and B1G accelerate their expansion plans.
4. That would mean FSU and Clemson could get out of ACC sooner rather than later.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

It’ll get negotiated down. Clemson and FSU have made their intentions known and it doesn’t help either side to have unhappy members for 13 more years. It’ll cost us more money not to move.

Not so sure Group of five schools going to the PAC12 or Big 12 will motivate the SEC and B1G to do anything but laugh. lol. Same if Colorado moves which I have serious doubts they will.

SDSU already sent in their letter of intention to leave conference. They must leave by June 30th or the exit fee goes from $15m to $31m. I am sure it happens before the 30th but not confirmed whether Big 12 or Pac 12 at this point. I am guessing the Big 12.

The letter is strange.

It is saying that they have the intent to leave. So, they didn't say they are leaving, technically. And, the letter asks for an extension so that if they leave after June 30th they won't have to pay the extra money called for in the original contract.

Be careful what you ask for. You might get it. SC joined the big boys in 91. Since then, 31 seasons, one appearance in FB championship game. Since 91, Clemson has won ACC 9 times, etc.
Be careful what you ask for. Our 10 year plus run is great but there are schools over there with 2 or 3 times our history, 2-3 times the alumni and $ base albeit possibly less integrity.
Let’s make sure we are ready AND committed to what it will take to succeed in either the BiG or the $EC.

Cool story. Now do the 31 seasons for usc prior to ‘91. It’s true they haven’t done much since joining the SEC, but they did nothing before joining it.
