It reminds me of when people thought some liberal states or cities wanted to ban sugary drinks but in this case it’s a “conservative” actually banning something.
You can be against lab grown meats all you want, but to me this seems like another case of big government getting bigger every moment, from both sides really.

I am not sure what he is campaigning fo though. And what happens in the Global food crisis of 2039 when ash from a comet strikes, cough, Siberia, covers the world in dust and kills most of the plant life, how are people in Florida going to survive?
This is all very short-sighted.

Maybe FL is waiting for all the 'kinks' to be worked out before potentially poisoning his state residents. I mean, come on, how much research needs to be done before we can say it is safe to eat for the long term?
500.452, Florida Statutes, is created to read:
1054 500.452 Cultivated meat; prohibition; penalties.—
1055 (1) It is unlawful for any person to manufacture for sale,
1056 sell, hold or offer for sale, or distribute cultivated meat in
1057 this state.
1058 (2) A person who knowingly violates this section commits a
1059 misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s.
1060 775.082 or s. 775.083.
1061 (3) A food establishment that manufactures, distributes, or
1062 sells cultivated meat in violation of this section is subject to
1063 disciplinary action pursuant to s. 500.121.
1064 (4) In addition to the penalties provided in this section,
1065 the license of any restaurant, store, or other business may be
1066 suspended as provided in the applicable licensing law upon the
1067 conviction of an owner or employee of that business for a
1068 violation of this section in connection with that business.
1069 (5) A product found to be in violation of this section is
1070 subject to s. 500.172 and an immediate stop-sale order.
1071 (6) The department may adopt rules to implement this
1072 section.
