Hey , don't forget that the starting QB for Navy (that game) was their 3rd string guy. Their 1st and 2nd string QBs were hurt. Navy still beat them handily. It was AWESOME and I was washing my car and listening to the game on the radio the entire game. My neighbors kept wondering what I was hooting and hollering about for 3+ hours.

That was truly the most complete beatdown that I've ever seen in the rivalry, even more so to me than 63-17 in 2003. That 1989 Tiger defense was probably the most talented that I've ever seen at Clemson or maybe anywhere else. Despite those hiccups with Duke and GT, they steamrolled most of their opponents. I think their average margin of victory in those 10 wins was over 25 points, and they beat 3 or 4 top twenty teams on the road.
