Dabo needs to fix this OC fiasco - the experiment didn't work. Get someone that can call a game for 60 minutes

Thanks to Venables. The offensive play calling was absolutely atrocious outside of the first two drives. Odds are the first two drives were scripted plays at that. Once we got into situational football, the play calling was ultra-conservative and downright terrible.

I agree play calling wasn't great.. But we were up 21-3 and it was a raining like crazy... We were conservative but I think we take more shots if it isn't raining hard

But don't you see that's the problem? We were playing in an extremely significant game for our program, and we went into ultra-conservative mode after going up 14-0 in the first freaking quarter!!! Why should we trust these guys to do the right thing when it's on the line? They have showed the last two games that they don't deserve any credit right now. Defense has been dominant and won us the game.
Meanwhile, we're WASTING the most talented QB we've ever had at our school. It's still early, and there's still time to get things on track, but wow...so far, this is bad.

Just beat a top ten team, on prime time national tv, during a monsoon. The only ones picking us were to win were us and Jim Cantore. Caused 5 turnovers, gave up 1, move to 4-0, will wake up tomorrow a top ten team, being mentioned in the hunt for the championship. I'll take bad any day of the week

To all you effing idiots complaining, it was obvious the game plan was to be conservative to avoid any turnovers. I did hate to see us stop the attacking defense. Without pressure their qb was picking us apart as any good qb will do to anyone. There is a reason the coaches are making big bucks and you are not.

We won because we somehow out-lucked the Irish. The play calling kept our offense skipping off the field, and overused our gassed defense, which allowed them to absolutely gash us down the stretch. Our final three drives were 3 3 & outs totaling 18 yards and using up 5:33, all while clinging to an 8 point lead.

Scott and Elliot are 5-0 . Take what you get ...which right now is winning . Do we want loosey-goosey playcalling like Petrino or Spurrier and be 2-3 ? I think the winning sort of backs upwhat they are doing ...but I may be wrong . Is it losing we were going for ?

That effected the game plan and the play calling. We won that game exactly how it was planned. We ran the ball well, created turnovers, and forced them to throw the ball.
Great win!

Clearly a bunch of coots so butt hurt that we showed out and won against a top 6 team in a monsoon, while they get manhandled and looked pitiful against a not so great Mizzou team.
LMAO at you coots.

That's ridiculous. Monsoon had a lot to do with the play calling. Ball was slippery, Notre Dame had 437 yds total offense and turned it over 4 times. They were down early and were forced to take chances.
I'd have loved to have won by 3 touchdowns, but downpours and slippery footballs aint the time to be yardage heros....just ask ND!
It's a great win, we're 4-0 and we move forward!
GO TIGERS, GREAT WIN!!!!!
