Will the SEC get its head out of its butt regarding UNC/UVA?

Those schools don't match SEC's culture and combined don't have the market share of either Clemson or FSU. The SEC fascination with spreading to other states is dumb. What has Mizzou gotten them? Can they really still defend that by claiming the St. Louis TV market? Really!? As another poster said, Clemson football gets more eyeballs in NC than UNC football.

What market share? You have to remember that you can read anything on the internet and nobody from the SEC said anything about Carolina and Virginia. We are in the same 125 mile circle as Georgia and South Carolina so adding us brings very little to the TV market. Neither Carolina nor Virginia are really close any SEC schools and as the major state universities in their states fit perfectly in the SEC.

It has published nothing regarding UV and UNC that I've known. I believe all the talk about gathering more states is speculation and if the SEC approached conference expansion like that the practical thing to do is throw Auburn and Vandy out of the conference.

I think it's all media hype.
