Other than to close out and say he went full circle there, why go? I don’t see it as a money thing. It’s not a facilities thing. It’s not a program thing. He built Clemson. Nick built Bama. Why go to try and carry own Nick’s empire? In this era, I think Dabo is less inspired than before as I think he hates this environment. And, my bet is Bama does not make playoffs next year. If he thinks Tyler from Spartanburg and 1.5% here expect too much, wait till they don’t make the sec championship game next year and see what happens. I just don’t know what would attract him there.

the old family home you gotta be honest with "Mamma" and tell her no - that her home ain't yours anymore. If you feel kind of spiteful, you can gently remind "Mamma" that the last time you lived in her house she actually threw you out on your bum... Either way - when you have spent every once of energy, blood, sweat and tears for 20 years building a family castle with your own two hands living your best life and fulfilling your own dream - you don't just forsake all that to return to a childhood home where it will never truly be yours.

Dabo's not dumb. He's well on his way to being the most legendary coach in Clemson's history - one that will almost be impossible to match due to the changing dynamics in college football. If Dabo sticks out the rest of his career at Clemson - he will eventually have a statue and/or building on campus honoring his legacy. Why would he discard all that and everything else he has built to be, at the very best, a 3rd place "what's his name" at Alabama.

Nope - Bama may become a victim of their own extraordinary success. Who do you find willing to replace the most successful college football coach of all time. They are literally tasked with replacing that which cannot be replaced in terms of record and sustained success...

Wait until they lose a few games. Them Alabama people are crazy.

Although, I volunteer as tribute to be the guy after the guy... as long as there is a huge buyout clause.
