Always easy to see the people who never played or coached football. This is so clueless. The head coach cannot call the defensive coordinator mid-drive, while they're doing their 2-minute offense to talk to them about stopping their playcalling and changing it up, especially when they don't have time to sub. You just have to hope for the best and talk to them after the drive.

Completely Agreed. Terrible playcalling from Goodwin. But short of blowing a timeout and trying to exchange personnel. You have to wait.

Please stop with your ignorance on all of these posts. You are wrong no matter how many times you type the same thing. It’s incredible you feel so strongly about others ignorance when you are so far in the wrong. You could say “the head coach doesn’t want to clip his DC’s wings” or “he’s giving him a long leash”. The thought that he isn’t listening to every word across those headsets and can’t call a time out at any time he gets ready to reset his team is an incredibly stupid position to take.

The army doesn't recruit for intelligence, I know that. But you should realize the same and sit down and shut up. You do not know football. You're a moron. And the 3 man front is an okay changeup to occassionally use. Venables would do the same thing. He wouldn't have realized it was all that until they were in the redzone. Yes, you can blow a timeout. At that point, a timeout lets FSU strategize and kept Clemson from having a timeout on their own drive. Notice they wanted to take a shot. So go back to your minimum wage position and let the adults talk.
