What to watch for?

Apr 11, 2015, 11:33 AM

What will you be watching for specifically today at the spring game? Of course, everyone will be watching the young O-Line, but I think Peake will be a good one to watch. A healthy Peake can be really big for our offense.

I wont be watching anything but the screen on my computer, patiently awaiting updates from Hood's work area.

As long as there is a hand puppet show describing the action on the field, I will not be overly critical.

nothing wrong with a good puppet show, but dhood's not

Apr 11, 2015, 11:56 AM

going to get better by fall unless we get better.

reading between the lines nikki says dhood's no self-starter.

as evidenced by his folding card table and laptop work area that he was assigned behind the endzone.

confidence is half the battle, but no way he takes Munson's job unless he shows more ambition, like you said.

good to hear Nikki Believes in him though, a good woman can take a man places.

The competition at DE. I think the Dodd and Ebo battle is going to come down to the wire and then we will get to see Register and Yeargin show their potential for a depth chart role this season.

I'm looking at the return teams. We have not had much since the Spiller days. Need some actual returns and not fair catches. However, I don't know about putting one our top line guys, like Artavius, back there due to possibility of an injury. However, I'm no coach.

The OL and RB's to run successfully AND ....

Apr 11, 2015, 12:19 PM

the DL and LB's to shutdown the run.

Also important to have the young QB's throw suceesfully and have the secondary especially new CB and safety be stout defending the pass.

Finally on special teams, I would like to see some big play returns but not at the expense of the defensive special teams giving them up.

Most important - no significant injuries.
