Not because there is anything bad about losing to Miami. They are a good team. This is definitely a “good loss.” Miami is a sure NCAA Tournament team and likely a top 4-5 ACC team.
I’m disappointed because it was one of those annoying games where the other team had a few guys get hot at the same time while we had a few guys have subpar nights at the same time. It was amazing how many of our shots barely rolled out tonight.
Make no mistake, Miami had something to do with that. But I thought we let them get us out of our game in the second half. I would’ve liked to see more opportunities inside for PJ. I also think we could’ve tried zone a bit earlier. Hindsight is 20/20 of course.
We have a fast turnaround. We will get back in the wee hours tonight, and only be able to do some light work tomorrow. Friday will be our only full practice before a noon game against UNC on Saturday. We need to win that one, and it won’t be easy.
Whoever said that the ACC isn’t a good basketball conference these days doesn’t know what they are talking about.

Yet to see. I may be incorrect but I heard 0 bench points from Miami? And I know their best players were injury concerns. Defending the ACC is fine, but there are a lot better teams than Miami than can dismantle us.

True and false. I must apologize to nctigs abd clem mountain. When I saw pack go out last weekend, I thought no way he plays tonight. Especially not a spectacular half. It happens. We'd have lost to Bama if jg3, hunter, and pj miss a couple 3 balls. The trio made 4/20 , 20% last night and pack made 80% in 2nd half. So, I was wrong. They kept me grounded.
I honestly think this game would play out reverse. And no, our injuries aren't hurting this team much. It'd be nice to see hemmingway jg3 at the same time, but a good team would have their way with both on defense. So, even trade-off imo.
It happens. But we're good. Not going to be many games w h ere our big 3 are all off the same night.
And let's not start pumping the acc is best bball conference. It's not the acc of old. Bball has more parity than ever with instant built teams. Seeing some of that in fb now.

I didnt make a single post during the game, dumbarse. I watched on delay because i have young kids that have bed times that coincide with a 7 or 8pm game.

Yeah - he’s been doing that schtick for years. But he’s been posting about Clemson basketball and how much better a fan he is since the Purnell days. I don’t believe for a second he had any real affiliation with the team.

It wss also one of those gsmes where we had a lot of fluky mishaps and balls just bounce in moami's favor. Kinda reminded me of the SCAR gMe last year.

Hmm?? I guess our loss to Miami in football was a good loss also?
It would be a better loss if Miami was playing with healthy team as Wooga and Pack are starters. Calling this a "good loss" is ridiculous. We were up and looking goid in first half. We got outcoached with bench players in the second half. This loss is reminiscent of some of our frustrations. Hopefully CBB finds the mix that fixes these hiccups.

As well as one of the best teams in the ACC?
No, they weren’t. Totally different situations.
It’s a good loss in that it will be a quad 1 loss on the road to an upper echelon ACC team. It’s not bad for our NET ranking or the perception of our team.

What’s interesting is the Sagarin ranks ACC as the 6th best conference in both football and basketball. Yet you want to disparage the football side of things only. Seems somewhat trolling.

The 8th ranked team in the ACC by NET is 63rd in the country. The 10th ranked team is 79th. That isn’t tough and if they score any significant number of victories against the top 1/3 of the conference we may become a 4 bid league. But keep shoveling.
