We interrupt this Gee-Haw'd! for a weather bulletin ...

We've seen some posts this morning about a hurricane hammering the upstate when the Wuffies come to town next weekend.

First: Yes, it's possible.
Second: It's also possible that the hurricane will make landfall between New Orleans and Morgan City, LA. Or it may hit Florida, cut across into the Atlantic and slide offshore.

If there's an interest, we can discuss the track of Hermine-wannbe. But it involves a lot of synoptics, which aren't as cool as watching long-range models plow into the coastline.

Here's the model spread as of noon Thursday. By Monday, things will be clearer. We'll have an actual storm center and a pretty good idea of how steering currents are setting up. Until then, just be aware of the possibility, and focus on eviscerating the Deacons.

Gee-Haw'd!

...storms are on a lot of folks' minds.

We just need to focus on grinding their bones into fertilizer for next year's soybeans for now.

Hermine and those flea-bitten Wuffies will wait.

6.5 miles home in a ~70 mph wind. Went out in my yard at ~2 am when the eye came through. We were very lucky in Orangeburg, but where my parents lived near Santee, not so much. One Hugo a lifetime is more than enough in my book.
