All you ever hear is DW4 and TL is the reason Clemson won 2 National Championships. They were amazing. But our Defense was a bunch of DOGS. Not dawgs. But Dogs! I haven’t seen that since Venables left. We have the players here now. What’s up?

We’re soft now compared to our teams then because they’re coached soft. No fire, just coddled, not aggressive and excuses made for their performance. Players tend to take on the demeanor of their coaches.

One of our Offensive Tackles needs to learn which direction to go, and not try to see how many forced fumbles he can rack up against our own team.

Shipley and Mafa both would be the fullback in the I-formation, triple option offense. They are both good hard nose runners between the tackles, but neither is a real threat to take it to the house.

In every organization u need to have the guy that is never complacent. Brent was that guy. Was not scared to go to some ###. We do not have that guy now. Intensity has to be in workplace and sports to reach goals. Not your senior that says he was not ready…BV would of been up his ###!

It's been said that Goodnowins was soft spoken even in practice, and that is the perfect recipe for a soft defense. Plus PLUS Goodnowin has said that he's heard that people is saying that needed to change, and he said that he couldn't change, that he only knew how to be him, and that him has absolutely no desire to change bc he was who he is, and he can't be nobody else. that is the reason that I have changed his name to how I see him, and I see him as Goodnowin!!!

BV is hungry at OK. To his credit, he learned from Dabo when he was building momentum for the turnaround at Clemson and BV will do the same at OK. I'm happy for him and grateful for what he did at Clemson. I really believe he will get his own NC at some point in his OK career.

Since the Power Rangers left there haven’t been any real leaders. Trevor was never gonna be a Tebow like rally the troops guy. He didn’t have to because he made up for it in talent. But now we have no talent and no leadership. None of out WR instill fear in anyone. We’re soft

had, but I also think on the O side those Coaches had to TRY to match some of that intenseness, toughness and mentality. All that is long gone and we see it on the field now on both sides of the ball.

Well lets say it this way...we have arguably more talent than ever on paper...and in ability...but when you watch us play...we domt seem to collectively "All In" which is what dabo has built this program on...he gives up recruiting all good players for the right kind of good players...he gives others and walk ons a real chance and look...he encourages and believes in people, he is loyal to the ones that comitt to him and he comitts to...he doesnt use the portal unless absolutely necessary and really the only time i can remeber is for backups, especially qb's.
That worked for many years as the players reciprocated the love and lotalty by commitment, and being "All In"...im not sure we have had a total team with "All In" commitment for the past 3 years!!!
With a program and place and team like ours...thats a huge deal...we dont recruit like bama nor uga nor ohio state...we have always won off of a weaker ol, a serviceable rb, great wrs, a great qb, and great dl...
Right now we have as good an ol as probably ever since the danny ford years but that will not be the difference in a positive way...it can kill you if they suck but it isnt gonna win you a championship!!!
Our qbs the past 3 years have been servicable at best!!!
Our rbs are as good as weve had...maybe ever...not better but as good in todays game...but again...they are like the ol...they are not winning you championships!!!
Our wrs are average at best...
Our dl is good but certainly not great by any means...they aren't completely dominate...
Amyway...we are a good team, a decent team...we will win a lot of games...whatever that means...but we are not anywhere near a playoff or natty team and im thinking not even an ACC championship team...
We just have no big time, take it to the house on one touch, playmakers or at least none have done it and scare defenses!!!
Seems to me everyone will play us like s car did last year and duke did this year...you can run it all you want, you can pass short all you want but you will not get big plays against us...if you have the patience and are good enough to do it then at worst we make you eat a lot of clock, which shortens the game, and especially this year with the new rules!!!
We didnt have the patience against s car last year and lost...we did have the patience in the second half against duke but didnt have the discipline to make them pay in the end...until we can do this you can expect much of the same from every decent team we play...it wont matter against the bad teams but we will see how we adjust against the decent/good ones!!!
