Just let that sink in. Most teams aren't even 7-2 despite being completely healthy and being potential contenders in the preseason. We are blessed as a fan base.

I agree with you about being happy with the 7-2. However, I don't understand why people think we are in a major "rebuilding year". This defense is the best I have seen in years and they are mostly all seniors. So will next year be a rebuilding year too?

I think offensive rebuilding would be more precise. Losing Tajh, Sammy, Tay Bryant, et al are a lot of skill and leadership to replace and not have some growing pains along the way.

Agreed. Even with all of that, we should be 8-1. And we should close it out.

You are absolutely right! This team has competed, played hard-nosed, and WON!
Cole Stoudt has played admirably, not perfect, but has played well.
Every time I get "frustrated" now....I just think if that was my son playing, how would I act/re-act...

rebuilding year per se. We've continued to stock up on talented freshman and IF everyone was healthy (that's like around 15 starters), we'd be opening up some cans of whoop ### on teams like Wake.
I see this as more of a transitional year to the Watson era, but not rebuilding. We've already built a very solid foundation.

We were in a rebuilding year last year after losing Nuke, Ellington, Willard, etc.
Next year we lose most of our top-ranked defense.
You're always rebuilding in college football.
