Walter Camp earned the title "father of football" for his role in shaping the game that dominates America's sports landscape today. He was a player and coach at Yale.
Interesting that football wasn't invented but evolved from soccer and rugby. Weird that it was allowed to be so brutal that players were becoming severely injured and dying. Great that Prez Teddy had Camp help revolutionize the game we know and love today.
