Update on FSU/ACC lawsuits.

FYI. If you're not interested, feel free to ignore.

The attorney speaking is one of the two lawyers who are following this case and posting on social media. Doug Rohan is an open supporter of FSU. He is an attorney, but also a big time member of Seminole Boosters (the Atlanta Area Club).

Nothing really earth shattering. Just giving an update since the ACC has filed a motion in the case in FL and FSU has responded to that filing.

I link. You decide.

Dude, you know that this guy practices personal injury law and has no experience with the real issues involved in this case. He doesn't even touch on IP issues and hardly touches on the contract issues. I was had by the clickbait, and he is nowhere near as enthusiastic as before. This has got to be the podcaster posting.

Where do you think personal injury law suits are heard? In civil court, same court contract cases are heard. You use most of the same arguments and discovery motions in civil court for the cases tried. Court filings and procedures are the same for every case tried and filed in civil court. You don't have to exclusively handle a specific type of case to comment on civil court cases.

If you have a problem with the attorney is saying, address the issues. Don't shoot the messenger who posted the link. If you had read the filing by FSU that was discussed by the attorney, you would have had a better idea of what he was addressing.

I am curious as to what you think the actual issues are? Do you have any idea? (PS, the Florida AG's office is not involved.)

You do know the Fl. AG IS IN CHARGE OF ALL FLORIDA COURTS. NOT FEDERAL. YOU ALSO KNOW THAT THE FL. AG OFFICE IS WORKING BEHIND THE scenes and represents all law suits filed by and against any state entity. The private attorneys used by FSU are paid with state funds and were retained in consultation with the FL AG.

YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET UP TO SPEED ON THE FUNCTION OF THE STATE AG.

I don't think I could count the number of things that are wrong with your response. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about, literally. Your response demonstrates that you know how to shout but not offer substantive responses. Again, name the core issues that are at the center of the FSU-ACC dispute? Name just one?

Otherwise, the last time I checked, the judiciary was in charge of the judiciary, not the AG. The AG is a wing of the executive branch, not judiciary, and it can advocate on the executive's behalf in a judicial forum. Otherwise, where is your evidence for the rest of your wild statements? Tell me specifically what I don't understand? Also, don't forget about naming just one issue.

Did you actually read the link? I bet you didn't. It by no means suggests that the AG is in charge of the judiciary, has anything to do with the FSU-ACC lawsuit, controls privately hired lawyers, or anything else you have suggested. It actually contradicts your points. Try again.

"defends the state in civil litigation cases".

I understand your reading comprehension may be lacking if you attended public schools.

Then why isn't it defending FSU? And did you realize that FSU is on offense? None of this supports your conclusions and shouting. Your Barney Fife reasoning skills are wanting. Calling Andy . . .

Also the Solicitor General reports to the Fl. AG and is a part of the AG office. You might want to read what his duties are.

What a dud...what about the contract that was signed twice by two different FSU presidents with a board stacked with ambulance chasers...statute of limitations out long ago...estoppel...profiting from the for 15 years but just now raising an issue...patent law is federal and Florida's sunshine laws get cloudy in contracts! Injuns just want more wampum to buy more players from Alabama! Say hello to ESPN lawyers very soon!

How much does the ACC pay you folks to come on this site and defend their case? Do you get paid by the words or a flat rate per response to other's posts?

FSU is suing the ACC...that is Clemson too...If there is any reason to doubt your loyalty to CCC, your question is good proof...FSU has never done anything good for Clemson except lose! Some on this site act as if they are just FSU trolls...I can understand poultry trolls, a Carolina red dog or sheep dip but FSU has always been an outlier...kinda like Miami...must be the weather!

Thank you for posting. I follow this podcast and think Rogan does a good job of discussing the case.

Notice that not a single ACC school has joined the savages suit or even hinted about joining...when FSU sued the ACC they also sued everyone in the ACC...it might have been a bad contract. don't know but it was not illegal cause the geniuses at FSWTC signed and agreed to it more than once...have profited for 15 years...it wasn't bad until SEC and BIG landed new deals...The fact is the ACC and any other conference is better off without FSU...maybe it's their hormones!

FSU brings a ton of viewers to the ACC.

I won't express an opinion because personal opinions of FSU are not applicable to FSU's value.

My interest is that if/when FSU exits the ACC Clemson also can leave. Therefore my hopes are for a Clemson win in this lawsuit is dependent upon FSU's win.

To think that a Clemson fan would hope FSU loses the case is hope that Clemson also loses.
